Marathon Madness

Autumn and I are going to do the Twin Cities Marathon on October 1st. Over the next 6 months I'll keep you updated on our training progress as we get ready to run 26 miles and 365 yards in "The Most Beautiful Urban Marathon in America."

I've run the marathon distance or more a couple of times, but this is the first opportunity for either of us to run in an official event of this caliber.

wow, that's awesome! I would just like to run in a real 5k race. So I'm kinda jealous. What does Autumn think?

She had talked about doing something like a breast cancer run because several ladies who have been important in her life have been diagnosed, including her grandma. I took it to the next level and asked her if she would like to try a marathon. After mulling it over for a few days she came back to me and said yes. From there, we settled on the biggest race that was close to us and latest in the year and the Twin Cities Marathon was it. The race starts by the Metrodome and winds its way through the Chain of Lakes (Harriet, Nikomas, etc.) and then ends at the state capital in St. Paul.

wow! sounds amazing, exhilirating, beautiful, and full of adventure. I would never be able to do it. But with you as a trainer, I think anybody could do it.
